Garry Ross, President of John Robert Powers Modeling, Acting Agency & Finishing School, was honored and recognized by the City of Philadelphia for 55 years of continuous business in Center City Philadelphia, and by the PA Department of Education for his 55 years of commitment, leadership, and service to the postsecondary sector.
Established in 1963 by Garry Ross, John Robert Powers is the oldest continuously operating school and agency of its kind in Philadelphia. John Robert Powers has helped countless local residents pursue and launch amazing careers in the entertainment and private business sectors. JRP Philly currently has second- and third-generation students attending classes in modeling, acting, and self-improvement. The most common comment the school receives from students is how much their time at JRP Philly has helped build their self-confidence and self-esteem. “Operating for 55 years is an accomplishment for any Private Licensed School,” writes Patricia Landis, Chief of the Division of Higher and Career Education of the PA Department of Education. “[Mr. Ross’s] accomplishment is particularly noteworthy because these 55 years have been under [his] own guidance and leadership. Congratulations on this personal milestone and the 55th anniversary of the school.” John Robert Powers Philadelphia accepts students ages 5+ for classes in modeling, acting, and etiquette that help them gain the self-confidence and social skills that enable them to meet their goals both personally and professionally. |
